On the Road Again…Georgia’s historic Antebellum Trail
We know that there is something extra special about being in Watkinsville, and more importantly preserving our heritage as part of Georgia’s Historic Heartland. We are not the beach, and we are not that mountains, but what we ARE is something very special that attracts thousands of visitors from both national and international origins. On a recent FAM trip (familiarity for those not in the biz) a group of writers organized by the tourism state department visited the area and spent a night with us here at Ashford Manor. There trip overall was full of culture, history and charm! To hear it told by Travel Writer Warren Resen in his local paper makes me wish I could see it for the first time all over again!
